Our kidneys function as filters in our body. It has nephrons or fine tube-like filters which excretes the waste from the blood and produces the urine. These nephrons then act as filters of the blood and the wastes collected by pass through the ureter and into the bladder where it becomes urine. In turn, the kidneys expel the urine out of the system. The kidney stones causes are therefore those that detract the kidney from performing these functions.
Climate - If a person is lives in a place where there is a very dry climate, he tends to dehydrate easily. Once a person is dehydrated, body will excrete less liquid and thus the urine may come in a more concentrated form. Diet - A person's diet has to change if he is already suffering from kidney stone problems. Over the Counter medication - Medications like antacids and diuretic pills may form kidney stones.
Another sign, and perhaps the first serious kidney stone sign is a dull pain in the lower back or pelvic region. The pain may increase and decrease at different points of time but it will never go away completely. You may take a few analgesic tablets, hoping that the pain will go away. But this will not be the case. Over the next few hours or maybe even days, the pain will increase considerably and be more definite in its location. Some feel a definite tension around the area of their kidney as if their urine was trying to get past a blockage. A 'squirting' sensation is also felt when fluids try to get past the blockage. Even if the pain you experience is endurable, do go for an immediate check up.
2. Distilled Water! If you have the option of drinking distilled water, do it! Distilled water is water without any bacteria, viruses, heavy metals or impurities. 3. Lemons! This citrus fruit is easy to eat. Simply squeeze a couple slices in each glass of water and you will be eating two lemons a day! 4. Exercise! If you haven't jumped on the health train yet you better finally do it! Exercise has literally thousands of benefits including preventing kidney stones! Find activities that you enjoy and go out and do them! You should make a goal of 30 minutes of exercise for 3-4 days a week! 5. Find a step-o-meter! A step-o-meter shows you how many steps you took during the day. Step-o-meters became extremely popular years ago when McDonalds gave them out! You should make a goal for 10,000 steps per day.
